Any word on how the MacBook Air run its?
I'm not imaging maxed out settings, but the GPU in here is on the stronger side(compared to what Intel offers), so I'm hoping.
Might just grab it for the X360 instead

But doesn't AVCHD work in a way where some frames are estimated similarly to how HDV gets estimated frames?
Every time you hit "render", your file gets rendered in whatever you have asked FCP to use.

TBH the 27" IMac is sounding very tempting with the double TB and SB
why on earth is the HDD not sata-3
i was planning on copping an IMac for my family home, as my parent and sisters love my MBP - but i really do not care if the IMac CPU is 10-15% faster, when the hdd only links to sata3 - as i would of put an owc ssd in!
Guess i will wait for a 2012 re-fresh when apple finally recognises sata-6
i hope, rather than giving us TB - which i love, but at this point in time is a little redundant as there is no TB equipped peripherals available - hopefully a next gen apple cinema display with OLED and TB would also get my cash!

If America has been stubborn enough to survive a civil war continuous social conflict, and the metric system, it isn't going anywhere.

I think eventually more and more "American stuff" will use the metric system. At this point on most "large objects" it doesn't really make that much difference. And the "pros" trained in this stuff can use both. In the small scales even Americans use the metric system. Especially when more nanotech products start hitting the markets, ppl will get use to the metric system. I mean, look at the iPod nano! :p

The front of the white iphone looks neat. The back is rather hideous.
Perhaps they should make it white on one side and black on the other.

Grazing diets as you might call them usually restrict calories in some form or another and this is part of a long term plan to give the body time to recover without being stressed. Even though he is vegetarian, it doesnt mean he should be eating Tacos and icecream...bad move.

Did anyone notice on the very beginning of the show "HD brought to you by Windows 7" ? I know this is probably coincidence, but its still not cool to do spoof like this if Microsoft is a sponsors. I kinda lost respect for the guy now, I don't know. Peace may be funny, but its still very distasteful to do 8 and a half minute clip, which is almost half of the show if Microsoft is a new sponsor. I mean come on.

Picked up a copy of this up on Amazon. They have a $20 gift card deal going on. Plus if you buy the Playstation 3 version (and sync your PSN and Steam IDs) you can download a free copy of the game for your PC or Mac. So that's about $35 for the game and a $20 gift card, plus free shipping (2 day shipping for Prime members) and no tax? That's a good deal in my book. :D

I'm not a thrifty person by nature, so it says plenty that I refuse to pay the prices they're asking for these mags on the iPad. It really is that simple. Make them $1.99 and sales will go through the roof.

These people had jobs, and in their jobs they had access to information that they were told to keep secret. Well, I have a job, sometimes I'm told that something is secret, some stuff is generally not for people outside the company, so I keep my mouth shut. I don't tell people, and I most definitely don't sell information that I would get paid for. These people did. Since Foxconn has several hundred thousand employees, and three were caught only, I'll assume there are quite a few people working there doing very similar jobs without adding some money to their salary be committing crimes.
They solved the case fast. Probably lots of informers working at Foxcon. Or, they have no clue and merely arrested three hapless expendable workers in order to scare the rest.
It was obvious that information was leaked, because people started making accessories before they could have legally seen the iPad 2. At that point you do some detective work. At my place of work, we caught someone stealing a while ago. No "informers", just detective work. That's what happens when you commit a crime, sometimes you get caught. And what exactly do you mean by "informers"? If you see someone removing stuff, and next day you hear that stuff has been stolen from your company, do you tell the police? Rule of thumb: If anyone says "don't be a snitch", that is the first one who will rat on you if it helps them.

I'm reading that mounting it above the TV gives you an extra 1-2 feet of space, if you are short of it by having the sensor below the TV.
Tried it both ways. Made no discernible difference. It saw the gaming area zone exactly the same for me. :(

If there are "top secret" features, I would guess they would have to be apps if it's going to be released at MWSF? There couldn't be significant changes to the operating system without developer testing before then. Unless they are going to introduce the "top secret" features after Vista has shipped (someone was saying that's next month?) But even that seems like a really quick testing phase for developers.
